Classic Chilmark Cottage with Pool & Water Views

A classic old Chilmark cottage with a history all its own, tucked up in the trees with water views that stop you in your tracks. Walls of glass open onto wraparound decks that look out over the treetops to the water, and the pool deck is the place to spend long summer afternoons and watch the light change over the ocean.

This is an authentic, old-school island cottage, not a modern luxury home. It has the easy, barefoot feel of an old Vineyard summer place: wood-paneled rooms, simple comforts and island breezes. It is a delicate home with original character, best suited to guests who will treat it gently and love it for what it is.

- There is no air conditioning. The house relies on open windows, sliding doors and island breezes.
- The pool is not heated.
- This is an older, delicate cottage. Please treat the house and its furnishings with care.

- 4 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, sleeps 8
- Two queen bedrooms, both with sliding doors to the deck and water views
- Two twin bedrooms, each with two twin beds
- Living room with walls of windows and a fireplace wall
- Kitchen with open shelving and a large dining table
- Washer and dryer

OUTSIDE
- Pool (not heated) with lounge chairs, table seating and an umbrella
- Outdoor grill
- Wraparound and covered decks, plus a lawn with stone walls and gardens

GOOD TO KNOW
- Chilmark renters can pick up town beach passes at Chilmark Town Hall with a copy of their lease
- Check-in 4 PM, check-out 10 AM
